About Me
Hey there!
I'm a high school student, baker/cook (so chef..?), art student, book enthusiast, and Sherlock fangirl; currently residing in Hong Kong. Excuse my terrible photography, please.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, my interest in making food was first developed early on as an awe-struck child watching my grandma and my dad cook. The awe never left me, and in third grade, started to learn the basics of cooking. I went on to teach myself how to bake that same year, and then on to cooking and baking various other dishes. Interest turned into hobby, and has since bloomed into a passion, which, sadly, I don't have much time for as a high school student :(
I like to think of baking and cooking as edible art everyone likes, not only because it can taste great, but also in other aspects such as looks, color, texture, and aroma. Well made dishes can bring back memories, create comfort, raise spirits, and even create happiness. However, I personally think of love and passion as the most important ingredients; without them, anything would taste bland and unexciting.
Although school work takes up most of my life now, I mostly bake cakes and cupcakes, which I spend the most time on; other things such as cookies, brownies, etc. are made when asked for. :P Cooking is something I'd love to spend more time on, especially since I very rarely make savory food due to my limited amount of free time..... speaking of which, I should really stop procrastinating and get back to work. Whoops.
